Description
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented E-commerce Site Designer on contract basis or for a short period of time. In this role, you will collaborate with the front-end development team (primarily working with Angular ) to redesign a visually appealing, user-friendly e-commerce platform. Role Overview : As an E-commerce Site Designer with a focus on Angular integration, you will design and implement user interfaces that are not only visually attractive but also highly functional for e-commerce. You will work closely with developers to translate your designs into fully functional pages, optimizing for performance, mobile responsiveness, and overall user experience. Key Responsibilities : Design & User Experience : 1] Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that define the overall structure of the e-commerce site, focusing on UI/UX best practices. 2] Work with the team to design product pages, checkout flows, category pages, and other key components to optimize the user experience and drive conversions. 3] Ensure the site is fully responsive and optimized across all devices, including desktops, tablets, and mobiles. Collaborate with Developers : 1] Collaborate closely with Angular front-end developers to ensure designs are translated accurately into code. 2] Provide guidance on how designs can be implemented efficiently within the Angular framework, considering components, services, and performance optimizations. 3] Be familiar with Angular Material and UI/UX libraries commonly used in Angular applications to streamline development. Maintain Consistent Branding : 1] Ensure that the design adheres to the companys brand guidelines and is consistent across all touchpoints on the e-commerce site. 2] Regularly update the design based on analytics, trends, and seasonal changes to keep the platform fresh and aligned with business objectives. Design for E-commerce Best Practices : 1] Implement design solutions that drive sales and customer retention, such as clear calls-to-action, smooth checkout processes, and engaging product presentation. 2] Ensure that designs are built with accessibility (WCAG) and SEO in mind, improving usability and visibility. Content & Asset Management : 1] Assist in designing banners, promotions, and landing pages for marketing campaigns. 2] Work with the marketing team to ensure content is visually appealing, effective, and aligned with ongoing promotions and brand initiatives. Qualifications : Proven experience in designing e-commerce websites, with a portfolio showcasing your work. Strong proficiency in Angular or at least a basic understanding of how designs are implemented in Angular apps. Expertise in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Figma, or Sketch . Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and how they apply to e-commerce websites. Experience with responsive design and mobile-first approaches. Familiarity with Angular Material or other design frameworks used in Angular development. Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS) and familiarity with how these integrate with Angular components. Knowledge of SEO principles and how design choices impact SEO. Previous experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento) is a plus. Preferred Skills : Knowledge of TypeScript or experience with Angular templating. Familiarity with Agile development processes and working in sprints. Experience working with version control systems like Git. Basic knowledge of motion graphics or animations for enhancing the user experience. Experience with tools like Figma or Zeplin to collaborate with developers.
