Job Description

provides immediate care, manages inpatient health, conducts assessments, administers treatments/medications, and coordinates with multi-disciplinary teams (physios, nurses, specialists) for holistic recovery, focusing on patient progress, emergency response, documentation, and ensuring compliance with rehab protocols for conditions like stroke, injury, or post-surgical recovery, ensuring smooth continuity of care

Patient Assessment & Care:
Conduct initial & ongoing assessments, diagnose conditions, develop care plans, monitor vital signs, manage pain/spasticity, and provide basic medical treatment for inpatients.
Emergency Response:
Handle acute medical issues, emergencies, and administer advanced life support when needed, acting as the primary medical contact.
Team Collaboration:
Liaise with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and consultants for integrated, comprehensive patient care and seamless handovers.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate, detailed, and compliant patient records, progress notes, medication charts, and discharge summaries.
Rehabilitation Focus:
Support and implement specific rehabilitation protocols, guide on mobility aids, and provide patient/family education on recovery plans.
Facility Management:
Ensure a safe environment, check equipment functionality, and manage infection control.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:
MBBS degree with valid medical council registration.
Experience:
Clinical/hospital experience, preferably with exposure to critical care or rehabilitation.
Skills:
Strong diagnostic, emergency management, communication, leadership, and multi-disciplinary teamwork skills; ability to work under pressure.
