Duty Medical Officer (DMO)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a committed and proactive Duty Doctor to oversee patient care in our Dialysis Unit and Outpatient Department (OPD). The ideal candidate will provide medical evaluation, monitor dialysis sessions, manage routine and emergency cases, and ensure comprehensive patient support under the guidance of the Nephrologist or Medical Director.

Key Responsibilities:

Attend and monitor patients undergoing dialysis sessions, ensuring safe and effective treatment.

Evaluate patients before, during, and after dialysis, recording vitals and clinical progress.

Manage OP (Outpatient) consultations, including patient assessments, diagnosis, and prescriptions.

Handle any dialysis-related complications and medical emergencies promptly.

Coordinate with nephrologists, nurses, and technicians for seamless patient care.

Review laboratory investigations and adjust treatment as advised by consultants.

Maintain accurate patient records, treatment charts, and follow-up notes.

Provide patient education regarding diet, medication adherence, and dialysis care.

Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and center policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

MBBS degree from a recognized institution (mandatory).

Valid registration with the Medical Council.

1–3 years of clinical experience

Good clinical judgment and emergency management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Willingness to work in shifts and attend to both dialysis and outpatient patients.
