Position Overview:

We are seeking a professional and dedicated Driver to join our team at Kumaran Arul Travels. The driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting passengers to and from designated locations while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism. The ideal candidate should have a strong driving record, excellent knowledge of the local area, and a commitment to safe driving practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transporting Passengers:
• Drive vehicles in a safe, responsible, and timely manner.
• Ensure passengers’ safety and comfort during the journey.
• Pick up and drop off clients at designated locations.
• Vehicle Maintenance and Care:
• Perform basic vehicle checks (fuel, tire pressure, oil, etc.) to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene inside the vehicle at all times.
• Report any vehicle issues or accidents immediately to the supervisor.
• Route Planning:
• Plan the best routes for timely arrival based on traffic conditions and passenger needs.
• Familiarity with local roads, landmarks, and alternate routes.
• Use navigation apps when necessary to optimize routes.
• Customer Service:
• Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, friendly, and professional at all times.
• Assist passengers with luggage and other needs as required.
• Address any customer queries or issues with professionalism and respect.
• Compliance and Safety:
• Adhere to all local traffic laws and regulations.
• Ensure the vehicle is always operated in accordance with the company’s safety policies.
• Keep the vehicle’s documentation up-to-date (license, registration, insurance).
• Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate records of daily trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
• Ensure timely submission of any required reports to the fleet manager.
• Shift and Schedule:
• Follow assigned schedules and be available for both long and short-distance travel as required.
• Be flexible to work during weekends, holidays, or evenings as per travel demands.

Qualifications:

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent.
• Minimum of [X] years of driving experience, preferably in a professional setting (chauffeur, taxi, or similar).
• Clean driving record with no history of accidents or violations.
• Good communication skills and a courteous attitude toward passengers.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position, flexible hours based on the travel schedule.
• Occasional overnight stays or long-distance travel may be required.
• The position may involve travel across varying weather conditions.
