The Deputy Manager Finance & Accounts will play a pivotal role in managing the financial functions of DRF, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and providing essential financial support to various programs. This role involves working closely with internal teams, auditors, and stakeholders to ensure the integrity of DRF's financial operations. Key Responsibilities Payment & Financial Support : Ensure the timely release of payments to operations, vendors, service providers, and staff for travel and operational activities. Verify supporting bills, documents, and approvals, ensuring compliance with statutory deductions before releasing payments. Coordinate with vendors, field units, and staff to ensure timely receipt of bills and claims, maintaining trackers and timelines. Address any deviations in policies or delays, streamlining systems and practices for better efficiency. Accounting & Financial Reporting : Maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and statutory requirements. Ensure timely closure of monthly and annual accounts, passing necessary annual closure entries. Prepare annual financial statements, donor utilization statements, and monthly grant utilization reports. Ensure monthly collection and payment of Income Tax, GST, EPF, and Professional Tax. Audit & Compliance : Coordinate and prepare for quarterly internal audits, statutory audits, and donor audits. Provide necessary information and clarifications to internal and statutory auditors. Liaise with banks to ensure smooth banking operations and maintain good relationships with bank officials. Advances & Fee Collections : Ensure the timely settlement of vendor, operational, and staff advances. Review monthly rental, vendor, and staff advances and ensure timely reconciliation. Ensure proper fee collection and submit monthly fee collection reports. Training & Staff Support : Provide training to staff on financial management systems.
