Job Description **Job Title:** Echo Technician **Company Name:** Manipal Hospitals **Overview:** Manipal Hospitals, a leader in healthcare services, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Echo Technician to join our esteemed cardiology team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality echocardiography services to our patients, contributing to accurate diagnoses and optimal treatment plans. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform comprehensive echocardiographic examinations, including transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), and Doppler studies, in accordance with established protocols. - Prepare patients for echocardiographic procedures by explaining the process, ensuring their comfort and understanding. - Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition. - Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to evaluate patient conditions and discuss findings. - Document examination results and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulations. - Assist in training and mentoring junior staff, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and best practices. - Stay updated with advancements in echocardiography technology and techniques, fostering continuous improvement within the team. - Participate in departmental quality assurance initiatives and contribute to process improvements. **Qualifications:** - Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field. A Bachelor's degree in Cardiac Care Technology is preferred. - Proven experience as an Echo Intern/Technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting. - Strong knowledge of echocardiography equipment and procedures. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members. - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
