Description
As a Doors and Closures CAD Design Engineer at Dorle Controls, you will play a crucial role in supporting OEMs EV programs by focusing on CAD design of side doors, liftgates, and tailgates. Your responsibilities will include ensuring manufacturability, durability, and seamless integration of the closures. The ideal candidate for this role will have expertise in CATIA V5/V6, strong experience in sheet metal design, and familiarity with OEM systems to deliver high-quality and reliable closure solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Support facilities activities at Novi, MI and Blythewood, OEM depending on the development cycle stage - Perform packaging studies and provide media for engineering presentations - Incorporate CAD into OEM KVS systems and modify components as per OEM Engineering direction for design, engineering, and safety requirements - Design sheet metal components and assemblies, support manufacturing feasibility, part performance improvements, and interface changes - Develop new parts/assemblies as required and conduct engineering studies - Release CAD data in KVS system Qualifications Required: - Expertise in CATIA V6 and V5 - Ability to perform packaging studies and knowledge of OEM systems - Proficiency in English (read, speak, understand) - Extensive experience in sheet metal components and assemblies design Please note that this is a full-time position that requires in-person work at the Pune, Maharashtra, India location.
