DM / M Defence (Cyber Security)

As a Threat Intelligence and Research Analyst, your role will involve staying informed about the latest cyber threats, attack techniques, and security technologies. You will analyze threat intelligence feeds to identify potential risks to the organization and proactively recommend security enhancements and adjustments based on this intelligence. Your responsibilities in Security Monitoring and Incident Response will include monitoring security alerts and events in real-time to identify potential threats or vulnerabilities. You will investigate and analyze security incidents and breaches to determine the extent and impact, as well as develop and execute incident response plans to mitigate threats and minimize damage. Additionally, you will maintain incident logs and produce incident reports for management and regulatory purposes. In the Documentation and Reporting aspect of the role, you will be expected to maintain accurate records of security incidents, investigations, and remediation efforts. You will also prepare and present reports to management on the state of cybersecurity within the organization and collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during compliance assessments. Support in or knowledge of Cyber Defence tools, Cyber Incident Response and Remediation, VA tools and Technical Vulnerability Assessment, as well as Security Tools like EDR (Crowdstrike), SOC (SIEM & SOAR), WAF, Darkweb Monitoring, DLP, and firewall will be beneficial. You will also support technical risk assessment teams. Qualifications required for this position include: - At least 2+ years of experience in Cyber Defence - Willingness to work extensive hours and support the current team as needed for work completion - Good technical skills over Cyber Defence tools at L2 & L3 level,
