Director - Technical Analysis - Managed Development

As a Director for the Managed Development activity at Nasdaq Technology, your role will involve overseeing the maintenance of custom code for global clients. You will play a key role in establishing processes, creating documentation, addressing client inquiries, mentoring the team, estimating deals, and formulating bid proposals to ensure the smooth operation of the Managed Development activity. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead and supervise the maintenance of custom code for global clients, including developing new custom solutions, providing support for issue resolution, and ensuring code compatibility with future upgrades. - Collaborate with colleagues in Mumbai and other Nasdaq teams worldwide. - Develop and implement efficient processes for maintaining clients" custom code. - Establish and promote best practices within the code maintenance workflow. - Serve as the primary contact for client queries related to code maintenance issues. - Mentor and lead the code maintenance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical expertise. - Provide expertise in estimating project deals, conducting cost-benefit analysis, and drafting bid proposals. - Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation for successful code maintenance execution. - Assist the team in resolving complex custom code issues when necessary. **Qualifications:** - 12+ years of technical and managerial experience, preferably in the capital markets domain. - Proficiency in software maintenance, best practices, and coding standards. - Hands-on experience in systems or technical analysis, with expertise in Java, Springboot, containerization tools, Spring, Swing, JDBC, RMI, J2EE, Linux, Oracle, Postgres, XML, Python, and CI/CD tools. - Strong communication, interpersonal, and client management skills. - Client-centric mindset. - Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and mentorship. - Proficiency in code version control systems and documentation practices. - Experience in deal estimations and bid proposal drafting. - Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Advanced certification in Java, Oracle, or related field. - Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. - Domain expertise in developing or maintaining software for asset classes within the capital markets industry. - Understanding of capital markets and financial technology. - Knowledge of Calypso software is a plus.
