As an experienced software engineering leader, you have a solid background in block storage and Kubernetes/container storage. You are open to learning or already familiar with Windows, especially due to SANsymphony involvement. With over 20 years of software engineering experience, including 8+ years in leadership and people management roles, you have proven your ability to lead teams of 25+ engineers in flat organizational structures effectively. Your expertise lies in software-defined storage, particularly in block storage technologies such as replication, snapshots, encryption, and mirroring. You have successfully managed both innovation-focused and stability-focused products concurrently, showcasing your ability to handle complexity. Your programming skills include proficiency in functional languages like C, Golang, Rust, and at least one object-oriented language such as C++, C#, Java, or Python. In addition, you possess a strong grasp of system-level concepts like SCSI, NVMe, containers, and Kubernetes-based architectures. Your track record reflects excellence in system design, debugging, and making strategic architectural decisions. You are well-versed in modern engineering management practices including agile SDLC, project planning, estimation, DevOps, CI/CD, and automation. Your exceptional communication and collaboration skills enable you to influence and work effectively across teams and geographies. You are comfortable with hands-on technical involvement while managing at scale, seamlessly transitioning between code reviews and strategic planning.
