To support our ambitions to provide an innovative cloud-native telco platform for our customers, Rakuten Symphony is looking to recruit and develop top talent from around the globe. We are looking for individuals to join our Sales team in the UK. Let's build the future of mobile telecommunications together! Responsibilities: Technical Consultation: Provide expert guidance and technical consultation to sales teams and customers on cloud solutions, architectures, and technologies. Offer insights into industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to support decision-making processes. Collect, document, and prioritize technical constraints, workarounds, and functional and non-functional requirements. Solution Design: Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and design cloud solutions that address their specific needs. Develop comprehensive solution architectures, leveraging cloud services, infrastructure, and platforms to deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions. Proposal Development: Be responsible and accountable in the creation of compelling proposals, presentations, and technical documentation that effectively communicate the value proposition of proposed cloud solutions. Tailor messaging to address customer pain points and articulate the benefits of adopting cloud technologies. Collaborate with Product Engineering identifying best solutions, gaps, and new feature requests. Proof of Concept (PoC) Support: Lead the development of proof of concepts to validate the feasibility and effectiveness of proposed cloud solutions. Work closely with customers to demonstrate the capabilities of the proposed solutions and address any technical concerns or requirements. Technical Evangelism: Act as a technical evangelist for cloud technologies. Conduct workshops, webinars, and seminars, white-papers, to educate sales teams, customers, and partners on cloud solutions, architectures, and best practices. Deploy and manage internal demo environments by personalizing them to customer use cases. Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the pre-sales team and across the organization. Share insights, lessons learned, and best practices to continuously improve the effectiveness of pre-sales activities and enhance the organization's technical capabilities. Requirements: - Must-have demonstrable skills & expertise in Pre-sales Role. - Exceptional verbal and written communication, organization, and presentation skills. - Hands-on Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Software-defined storage, and CSI. - Good knowledge of Linux/Unix Systems. - Exposure to Public clouds (GCP, Azure, and AWS). - Understanding of Networking, Storage, and Security Concepts. - CKD/CKA Certification is a plus. - Experience and thorough understanding of DBaaS, PaaS, IaaS is a plus. - Exposure to Splunk, Elasticsearch, BigData, and AI/ML is a plus. As the Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) at our company, you will play a crucial role as the technical expert for our products. Your responsibilities will include creating engaging demos, developing technical content, supporting field teams, and validating use cases across various partner solutions and customer environments. Collaboration with Product Management, Product Marketing, Engineering, and Sales Engineering will be essential to ensure our solutions are not only competitive from a technical standpoint but also well-understood. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing and managing lab and cloud-based demo environments for Quantum Myriad and ecosystem solutions like Veeam, Commvault, AI/ML pipelines, and editing workflows. - Creating repeatable customer-facing demos to assist field teams, events, webinars, and partner engagements. - Authoring technical white papers, solution briefs, competitive positioning guides, FAQs, and reference architectures. - Collaborating with Product Marketing to develop launch content, videos, and hands-on tutorials. - Testing and documenting joint solutions with key ISVs in areas such as backup, MAM, HPC, analytics, and AI/ML. - Building and validating technical integrations with third-party tools and platforms. - Providing training and technical guidance to field SEs, partners, and support teams. - Assisting in competitive and customer-facing presentations while serving as a technical expert. - Acting as a technical bridge between the field and engineering to provide insights into customer needs, performance tuning, and feature enhancement opportunities. - Capturing insights from the field to influence product enhancements and roadmap direction. - Collaborating with engineering and product teams to prioritize features and address technical challenges. The ideal candidate will possess: - 5+ years of experience in technical marketing, solutions engineering, or technical presales roles in the storage or data management industry. - Strong knowledge of enterprise file and object storage systems, protocols (NFS, SMB, S3), and performance tuning. - Hands-on experience in system configuration in lab environments or cloud-based POCs. - Understanding of ecosystem technologies like data protection (Veeam, Commvault), media workflows (Adobe, Avid, Resolve), and analytics/AI frameworks. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to create clear, audience-appropriate content and demos. Preferred qualifications include experience with Quantum products or similar platforms, familiarity with high-throughput, low-latency storage use cases, knowledge of scripting or automation (Bash, Python, Terraform), and understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, Kubernetes, and software-defined storage.
