Director of Software Engineering - Finance Technology

As an Executive Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Technology, you will lead a technical area and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, data architecture, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and be a driver of innovation and solution delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee multiple complex projects and initiatives across departments, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving innovation in technology solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, technology leads, Treasury, and CIO teams to align technology solutions with business needs
• Utilize your deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes to guide teams in developing secure, scalable, and high-quality technology products.
• Develop and uphold data architecture standards, including interfaces, reliability, and governance frameworks, while enhancing the platform's data sourcing, orchestration, and reporting capabilities.
• Evaluate and implement innovative technologies to enhance platform capabilities, drive performance, and optimize cost and scalability of data products and infrastructure.
• Leverage AWS, Databricks, and other approved technologies to build secure data solutions.
• Design integration strategies for seamless data flow between Treasury, CIO systems, and enterprise applications. Lead the development of scalable coding frameworks while optimizing the cost and scalability of data products and infrastructure.
• Develop technical roadmaps aligned with business and technical needs.
• Provide mentorship to teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning, diversity, and inclusion.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise.
• Advanced experience in leading technologists to solve complex business challenges.
• Proven track record of successfully driving change across organizational boundaries
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Deep knowledge of data architecture, best practices, and industry trends.
• Expertise in one or more programming languages, such as Python and Java.
• Expert-level experience with AWS or other public cloud providers, as well as Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow, databases, and analytics.
• Strong communication skills for effectively engaging with senior leaders and executives.
• Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• Knowledge of Finance and Treasury products is advantageous.
• Experience in working on BI and AI/ML solutions with business stakeholders and data scientists.
