Director of R&D

Role Overview: As part of Checkmarx, you will lead the R&D vision, growth, and execution in India. Your responsibilities will include building and developing teams, onboarding new product agendas, and establishing a quality and on-time delivery unit. You will also be leading design, development, quality, delivery, stability, and enablement of multiple functional and technical capabilities within a large-scale product. Moreover, you will be closely collaborating with product management and support organizations, working with local and remote multi-geo R&D and non-R&D teams, and being a part of a leading global R&D leadership team reporting to SVP Engineering. Key Responsibilities: - Lead Checkmarx's R&D vision, growth, and execution in India. - Build and develop teams, including coaching and mentoring engineers and team leaders. - Onboard new product agendas and establish a quality and on-time delivery unit. - Lead design, development, quality, delivery, stability, and enablement of multiple functional and technical capabilities within a large-scale product. - Make ongoing design decisions and focus on various product domains and technologies. - Own and lead a significant part of the product's functional and technical vision and roadmap. - Initiate and facilitate R&D innovation, incubate and support new ideas. - Collaborate closely with product management and support organizations, teaming up across organizational boundaries. - Work smoothly with local and remote multi-geo R&D and non-R&D teams while maintaining high visibility and effective communication. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor of Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent, with leading experience. - At least 10 years of experience leading R&D groups and managing managers with a strong technical leadership background. - Background in microservices development, CI, and CD, as well as developing and deploying Cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP). - Experience in developing in modern Agile methodologies (Scrum, CI/CD, TDD, etc.). - Strong organization and time management skills with a can-do attitude, self-managed, and flexible to changes. - Tech-savvy and quick to assess and integrate new technologies fitting in coordination with the rest of the R&D leadership. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, communicating clearly and comprehensively to senior executives. - Strong team player with hands-on experience in Go as an advantage and a background in cybersecurity and application security.,
