Job Description

As a Transaction Banking Sales professional at Standard Chartered Bank, your primary responsibility will be to drive trade finance business growth within your assigned client portfolio. This involves developing and maintaining effective client relationships, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor for trade products and working capital, and identifying and pitching appropriate solutions to meet client needs seamlessly. You will work closely with implementation, client management, and service teams to ensure a superior client experience. Your strategic focus will include devising client-level trade sales and services strategies, charting treasury strategies, and defining digitization agendas to enhance client loyalty and wallet share growth. You will drive OPAC conversion, maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities, and lead RFP responses and client pitches to secure new business. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing deal execution, maintaining oversight on implementation, and ensuring revenue realization. In terms of talent management, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders, provide regional trade sales coverage, and share insights and deals with team members to collectively enhance team learning. Risk management is crucial, and you will be expected to address risk management matters promptly and escalate issues as needed. As part of your role, you must demonstrate exemplary conduct, adhere to the bank's values and code of conduct, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You will also play a key role in engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including Relationship Managers, Risk & Compliance teams, and clients within your portfolio. To excel in this position, you should have a strong background in Transaction Banking sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-border team environment. A university degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience in Transaction Banking sales are required. Proficiency in trade finance services, channel management, and MS Office products is essential.
