Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the CSIT department in alignment with institutional goals.
  • Foster innovation in teaching, learning, and research in emerging areas of Computer Science and IT.
  • Lead the development of new academic programs and research initiatives.

Academic and Research Oversight

  • Oversee curriculum design, course development, and accreditation processes.
  • Promote high-quality research and secure funding through grants and industry collaboration.
  • Support faculty in scholarly activities and professional development.

Administrative and Operational Management

  • Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and policy implementation.
  • Recruit, evaluate, and mentor faculty and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional, national, and international standards.

Collaboration and External Engagement

  • Build partnerships with industry, government agencies, and academic institutions.
  • Represent the department at national and international forums and conferences.
  • Drive initiatives related to internships, placements, and alumni engagement.

Technology and Infrastructure

  • Oversee the implementation and management of IT infrastructure used in teaching and research.
  • Ensure cybersecurity, data governance, and tech-enabled learning environments.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of academic or industry experience, with at least 5 in leadership roles.
  • 5 publication should be in scopus
  • 2 guided students should be completed under supervision
  • Proven track record of academic excellence, research, and/or innovation in CSIT.
  • Experience in managing interdisciplinary teams and large-scale projects.
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies (AI, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Data Science, etc.).
