Job Description

Role Overview: As a Site Reliability Engineer/leader at the GCMS BizOps team, you will play a crucial role in solving problems, building the CI/CD pipeline, and leading Mastercard in DevOps automation and best practices. You will be at the forefront of the DevOps transformation, advocating for change and standards across development, quality, release, and product organizations. Key Responsibilities: - Engage in and enhance the entire lifecycle of services, from inception and design to deployment, operation, and refinement. - Analyze ITSM activities of the platform and provide feedback to development teams on operational gaps or resiliency concerns. - Support services before going live by offering system design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews. - Maintain live services by monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health. - Scale systems sustainably through automation and advocate for changes that improve reliability and velocity. - Support the application CI/CD pipeline for software promotion and lead in DevOps automation and best practices. - Practice sustainable incident response and conduct blameless post mortems. - Take a holistic approach to problem-solving during production events to optimize mean time to recover. - Collaborate with a global team across various tech hubs and time zones. - Share knowledge and mentor junior resources. - Support code deployments into multiple environments, including PCF cloud, Linux, Oracle/Redis DB, emphasizing automation. - Resolve customer queries reported through work orders. - Provide on-call support during critical situations in the production environment outside normal business hours. Qualifications Required: - Must have Clearing Experience and Mainframe Experience. - Must possess an understanding of CI/CD, DevOps tools. - Good to have knowledge of monitoring tools and Java applications. - Must have knowledge of Unix/Linux, SQL, and ITIL framework.
