The CCL Radiology Technologist operates digital radiological imaging equipment in accordance with guidelines outlined in Title 17. They oversee the performance of quality control procedures and enforce principles of radiation safety. They assist cardiologists, pulmonologists, and CV surgeons during diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and OR Hybrid Room. Additionally, they assist the professional nursing staff with patient preparation for procedures and ensure the proper functioning of equipment. The Technologist demonstrates knowledge of human anatomy, monitors and records events during procedures, and participates in quality control procedures and performance improvement activities. They may also assist with patient transportation and be on-call when assigned. Minimum Qualifications: - California Radiology Technologist - Fluoroscopy (CRT-F). - Registered Technologist for Radiography issued by ARRT (R.T(R)(ARRT)). - BLS/CPR and ACLS certification at time of hire, with commitment to get ART within six (6) months of hire date. - One (1) year of experience as a Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist. - Knowledge of computers and new technology such as Computerized Radiography (CR) and Digital Radiography (DR). - Working knowledge of Radiology Information system (RIS) and Hospital Information System (HIS). - Training in another modality to provide cross-coverage during normal scheduled times or staffing issues. - Ability to develop good working relationships. Preferred Qualifications: - Two (2) years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
