Digital Factory Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design complete 3D CAD models of new factories including process stations, sub-assembly areas, and warehouse infrastructure.
• Develop and optimize factory layouts in 2D and 3D, ensuring efficient workflow, safety, and scalability.
• Create detailed 2D manufacturing drawings (part, assembly, and layout) following industry standards.
• Design and detail jigs, fixtures, and tooling for manufacturing operations.
• Conduct material flow analysis to identify bottlenecks and improve throughput.
• Evaluate and improve packaging and material handling systems to minimize damage and enhance logistics.
• Develop discrete event simulations for factory processes and collaborate with process engineers to implement improvements.
• Perform process simulations for work cells including layout validation, ergonomics, and robot reach analysis.
• Create high-fidelity visualizations and walkthroughs using Omniverse for factory layout reviews.

Required Skills & Expertise:

• Strong proficiency in

  Tecnomatrix, Plant Simulation

  , and Omniverse Connector.
• Expertise in NX CAD for 3D and 2D design.
• Experience with Teamcenter or similar PLM systems.
• Sound understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, assembly).
• Experience in jig and fixture design.
• Basic knowledge of material handling systems, logistics, and GD&T principles.
• Proven experience in discrete event simulation and process validation.
• Strong analytical, collaboration, and communication skills

Qualification & Experience:

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Machine Design (or equivalent).
• 36 years of relevant experience in digital factory or manufacturing engineering.
