Digital Forensic Assistant

Job Overview

A Digital Forensic Assistant is responsible for investigating cyber crimes and security incidents by collecting, preserving, analyzing, and presenting digital evidence. This role involves working with law enforcement entities to ensure digital evidence is gathered correctly and used effectively in legal contexts.

Key Responsibilities

• Evidence Collection: Identify, collect, and preserve digital evidence from the Investigating Officer and maintain proper documentation.
• Processing: Executing the processing of digital evidence.
• Documentation: Proper maintenance of the Chain of Custody.

Required Qualifications Education:

B.Sc/M.Sc in Forensic Science with specialization in Cyber/Digital Forensics or Bachelors/Masters Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science.

Experience:

Minimum of one year of experience in the field of Digital/Cyber Forensics.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with digital forensics tools (e.g., AXIOM, UFED, Oxygen Forensic Detective, Disk Duplicators, etc.).
• Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and file system forensics.
• Proficiency with MS-Word/Excel

Soft Skills:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Integrity and adherence to ethical standards in handling sensitive information.

Salary Range :

As per industry standards.

Language Preference: Marathi
