DGM-Direct Taxation and GST

You will be responsible for critical analysis of various proposed transactions from a tax perspective. This includes proactively keeping track of tax and regulatory developments, and evaluating existing structures and transactions in light of recent changes. Your role will involve streamlining processes and controls within the tax function, as well as evaluating and implementing tech solutions to enhance efficiency and processes. Additionally, you will be tasked with handling various tax compliances such as advance tax, income tax, GST returns, and TDS compliance. This will also include managing tax litigation matters, including appeals, assessments, and rectifications. Experience in handling compliances of regulated entities such as NBFCs and AIFs will be required. You will also provide FEMA advisory and ensure compliances relating to past and proposed transactions. Analyzing deal documents from a tax and regulatory perspective will be part of your responsibilities. Supervising GST compliance and advisory work, discussing tax planning with the tax head, and implementing it as per the law will also be crucial aspects of this role. Moreover, you will be expected to prepare Tax MIS reports to keep track of the tax-related performance metrics. Your qualifications should include being a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in handling merger and acquisition deals.
