DGCA-certified RPAS Pilot

The position demands a technically adept, safety-conscious, and client-facing professional who can operate at the intersection of technology, regulations, and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. UAV Operations & Safety

• Operate

  Small & Medium category DGCA-approved multirotor UAVs

  in

  tethered configurations

  for continuous deployment scenarios.
• Conduct

  pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight

  safety checks and adhere to

  DGCA CAR

  regulations at all times.
• Plan and execute flights in

  controlled, restricted, and field conditions

  with strict adherence to

  airspace protocols

  .
• Maintain

  detailed flight logs

  , mission data, and compliance reports.

2. Internal Testing & R&D Support

• Participate in

  prototype evaluation, endurance testing, and payload performance checks

  for new and upgraded UAV systems.
• Work closely with the engineering team to

  provide operational feedback

  on UAV handling, tether stability, and payload integration.
• Document

  performance metrics

  and assist in

  root cause analysis

  for any system issues.
• Support

  type certification and DGCA testing processes

  as per company requirements.

3. Customer Demonstrations & Field Trials

• Conduct

  live demos for B2B and B2G clients

  , showcasing UAV capabilities for defense surveillance, event monitoring, industrial inspection, or disaster management.
• Prepare

  mission-specific demo plans

  , including flight paths, payload configurations, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with

  sales and business development teams

  to address client queries during field demonstrations.
• Ensure

  flawless execution of demonstrations

  in front of high-level officials, procurement teams, and decision-makers.

4. B2B & B2G Engagement

• Liaise with

  industrial customers (B2B)

  for operations in sectors such as oil & gas, utilities, infrastructure, and events.
• Work with

  government agencies (B2G)

  including defense, police, disaster response, and public safety bodies.
• Ensure

  confidentiality, security compliance

  , and professional representation of the company in sensitive environments.
• Provide

  technical training and operational guidance

  to client teams post-deployment.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Valid

  DGCA RPAS Pilot Certification

  for

  Small and Medium multirotor category

  .
• Minimum

  2 years

  operational flying experience, with proven expertise in tethered UAV systems.
• Solid knowledge of

  DGCA CAR, NPNT protocols, and aviation safety guidelines

  .
• Experience in

  payload operations

  (EO/IR, communication relays, sensors).
• Strong

  mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

  for UAVs and tether systems.
• Confident in

  client-facing roles

  and able to conduct

  professional live demonstrations

  .
• Willing to travel for extended periods for deployments and trials.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in

  BVLOS / EVLOS

  operational environments.
• Prior exposure to

  type certification

  and

  regulatory testing

  for UAVs.
• Background in

  defense, aerospace, or industrial UAV operations

  .

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

1. Flight Safety & Compliance:

   Zero regulatory breaches or safety incidents.

2. Operational Readiness:

   Ability to mobilize and execute missions within agreed timelines.

3. Demo Success Rate:

   Percentage of customer demos completed without technical or operational failures.

4. Testing Efficiency:

   Number of internal test flights executed with actionable feedback to R&D.
