DevOps GCP Engineer

As a DevOps GCP, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work on developing and optimizing infrastructure on GCP, which includes Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud Storage. Collaboration with development teams to ensure efficient software deployment processes is a key aspect of this role. Additionally, you will implement and manage telephony integration for cloud-based communication systems, although it is considered good to have but not mandatory. Monitoring and troubleshooting infrastructure and application performance issues, as well as interfacing with Enterprise SRE teams for application security and reliability tasks, are also part of your responsibilities. In terms of process and behavioral skills, you should have the ability to handle multiple strategic and critical projects simultaneously. Effective interpersonal, coaching, team building, and communication skills are essential for this role. You will be required to run/coordinate meetings, major incident calls, and communicate effectively with customers. A desire for continuous improvement, ownership skills, and the ability to communicate complex technology to non-tech audiences in a simple and precise manner are highly valued. Being a quick learner outside your area of expertise, flexibility to support a 24*7 environment, and the ability to see the bigger picture while balancing competing priorities are crucial attributes.
