Description
Role Overview We are looking for experienced DevOps Engineers (4+ years) with a strong background in cloud infrastructure, automation, and containerization . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in cloud migrations, container orchestration, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) best practices. The role requires expertise in lifting and shifting workloads to the cloud, modernizing legacy applications using containers, and optimizing cloud-based deployments . Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP , with a focus on scalability and reliability. Lead cloud migration initiatives , including on-premises to cloud transitions, containerization of legacy applications, and hybrid cloud deployments . Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Pulumi for scalable and repeatable deployments. Manage and orchestrate containers using Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE), OpenShift, AWS ECS, and Docker , ensuring high availability and performance. Implement migration strategies such as re-platforming, re-hosting (lift-and-shift), and modernization using cloud-native services. Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual interventions. Troubleshoot containerized applications and microservices architectures , ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime. Work closely with development teams to create a container-first approach , enabling faster deployments and efficient resource utilization. Evaluate and implement cost optimization strategies , ensuring cloud resources are utilized efficiently. Must-Have Skills 3+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering. Expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hands-on experience in cloud migration projects . Strong experience with Kubernetes, ECS and container orchestration technologies. Hands-on experience in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation. Proficiency in scripting/programming languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation. Strong knowledge of networking (VPCs, Subnets, Load Balancing, Security Groups, Firewalls) and cloud networking best practices. Ability to troubleshoot containerized applications, networking, and container-related performance issues. Strong communication and collaboration skills , working across teams to ensure smooth cloud adoption and modernization. Good-to-Have Skills Experience with serverless computing and integrating containers with cloud-native services . Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures . Experience in data migration strategies, including database migration, file storage migration, and ETL pipeline modernization. Understanding of service mesh technologies like Istio, Linkerd, or Consul. Passion for mentoring teams and sharing best practices in migration and containerization.
