POSITION / TITLE: DEVOPS ENGINEER

This role will require you to work closely with the Engineering team to design, build, and maintain systems. This includes setting up monitoring solutions, configuring and adding new servers/services periodically, and maintaining existing and future custom application code and configuration. You will also regularly interface with developers and team members for capacity and architecture planning and make recommendations for improvements to the existing architecture. You will also participate in regular deployments of code updates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the adoption of Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development, and Agile best practices, processes, and tools across cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) & OnPremise
• Design, implement, and migration of provisioning, build and release management processes to support development processes
• Perform system build and release when assistance is required this is key to identifying areas for improvement.
• Ensure the uptime, availability, and proper performance of all components.
• Periodic review of the systems in terms of vulnerability, capacity management
• Ensure all the security best practices are implemented & followed by the team.
• Mentor & train the team members.
• Maintain knowledge base & the required documentation of all implementations.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 4+ years’ experience in a 247 high-availability production environment
• 5 + years of administration experience with development tools, like build automation, continuous integration, code analysis tools, deployment scripting as well as application and infrastructure monitoring
• Unix/Linux operating system (including Shell, Perl or Python, or Ruby scripting)
• Previous experience in release engineering and/or configuration management
• Excellent organizational skills, and oral and written communication skills
• Good knowledge of the application / Infrastructure architecture
• Excellent Knowledge of automated application deployments
• Excellent analytical / troubleshooting skills from the application perspective.
• Able to coordinate with the other teams/customer to analyze, fix & track the issues to the closure.

MUST HAVE SKILLS

• Knowledge (and interest) of open-source build automation, continuous integration and code analysis, and monitoring tools
• Knowledge of all cloud providers (AWS, Azure & GCP)
• Knowledge of container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes [EKS, AKS, OpenShift & on Premise] & the required automation for CI/CD using helm / other tools on both cloud & onpremise.
• Knowledge of automated deployment scripting, tools, and techniques (Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Helm, etc.,)
• Unix/Linux operating system
• Knowledge of industry-standard security controls & compliance policies such SOC2, HIPAA, PCI, FedRamp, etc
• Scripting - Shell, Perl, or Python
• Able to work in shifts 24X7 on a need basis. OTHER SKILLS WE'D APPRECIATE
• Administration experience with Build Automation and Continuous Integration (CI) tools, such as Jenkins
• Cloud Certifications in AWS, Azure / GCP
• Experience in configuration and monitoring software like Icinga2, Nagios, or xymon, etc.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

• Graduate in Engineering OR Master in Computer Application
