DevOps Engineer - Google Cloud Platform

As a DevOps Engineer at our company, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and play a crucial role in automating and managing our cloud infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable and reliable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using Terraform and Pulumi. - Collaborating with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployments. - Developing and maintaining scripts and automation tools for operational tasks like monitoring, logging, and backups. - Ensuring high availability and fault tolerance of cloud services with disaster recovery and business continuity strategies. - Performing system and application performance analysis, tuning, and troubleshooting for optimal efficiency. - Staying updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to recommend and implement infrastructure improvements. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer focusing on cloud-based environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - Strong expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Pulumi. - Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration tools. - Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Ruby for automation. - Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD for automating software processes. - Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) for application observability. - Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and networking concepts in GCP. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Preferred Qualifications: - Google Cloud Platform (GCP) certification (e.g., Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer). - Experience with other cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and multi-cloud architectures. - Knowledge of serverless computing and event-driven architectures.
