About The Role Position Overview OneMSCI Data Platform Operation Team in MSCI is responsible to build and maintain state-of-the-art Multi Data Platforms that delivers Reference and Market data to various products of the firm. These Multi Data Platforms, hosted on firms data centers either On-Premise or to Azure Cloud, processes 100 TB+ data and is expected to run 24*7. With increased focus on automation around Systems Development and Operations, Data Science based quality control and cloud migration, several tech stack modernization initiatives are currently in progress. To accomplish these initiatives, we are seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual to join to our OneMSCI Data Platform Operation Team for the purpose of supporting MSCI vision to be the leading Investment Systems as a Service company. The position is based in Pune, India office. Scope of Responsibility Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health. Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large distributed software applications Build and maintain CD / CI pipelines Containerize application deployments Implement actionable monitoring solution that can assist in building highly observable systems and provide continuous feedback to developers Work closely with development team to implement new build processes and strategies to meet new product requirements Extend the above infrastructure on Cloud Weekend or Holiday support might be required. Specific Knowledge/Skills Self-motivated, collaborative individual with passion for excellence Work under pressure in the middle of Incident and Production Issues Good Monitoring and Problem solving skillset Good working knowledge of source control applications like GIT, SVN, Azure Repos with prior experience of building deployment workflows using this tool Strong working knowledge of Linux Administration and Scripting Good working knowledge of JavaScript and Python Desired Experience B.S. Computer Science or equivalent with 3-5 years of total experience and at least 2 years of experience in working with DevOps tools and technologies Desired Qualifications Experience of implementing SPLUNK solution and DevOps tools on Azure is a plus Azure Administrator, Azure Data Engineering, Azure DevOps or ORACLE Certification is a plus
