Job Description

Work directly with the Software Engineering and IT Ops teams and Senior Director, Software Engineering to improve and test system integrity

Design and implement solutions for continuous integration, delivery, testing, and monitoring

Test implemented designs

Handle code deployments in all environments

Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve

Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations

Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improvement development delivery

Consult with peers for feedback during testing stages

Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards

Maintain day-to-day management and administration of projects

Document and design various processes; update existing processes

Improve infrastructure development and application development

Follow all best practices and procedures as established by company

Our Tech Stack:

We use AWS as our cloud platform. Core AWS services we utilize include:
Compute & Storage: EC2, Lambda, S3
Networking & Delivery: VPC, CloudFront, Route 53
Databases: RDS, Redshift
Security & Management: IAM, CloudTrail, Systems Manager
Monitoring & Deployment: CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Elastic Beanstalk, ECS
Messaging & Notifications: SNS, SQS, SES
CI/CD: We use GitHub Actions to manage our continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
Deployments:
Backend applications are deployed using Elastic Beanstalk
Frontend applications are deployed using S3 and CloudFront
Monitoring: We use Amazon CloudWatch for observability and logging.
Project Management: Jira is used for ticketing and agile project tracking.
Version Control: Code is managed and stored on GitHub.

Job Requirements/Skills and Experience

High school degree or equivalent; bachelor s degree in CS, engineering, software engineering, or related field
Two years previous experience in development and operations, or related IT, computer, or operations field
Previous experience with software development, infrastructure development, or development and operations
Experience with Linux infrastructures, database SQL (MS SQL), CI/CD tools, scripting such as JavaScript, PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, Java, Scrum/Kanban/SAFe, Agile workflow methodologies
Up-to-date on latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently
Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
