Devops Cloud Engineer, VP

As a DevOps Engineer at NatWest Digital X in India, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our DevOps engineering capability, culture, and mindsets within the bank. Your role will involve promoting technical and cultural change, accelerating learning journeys, and progressively adopting DevOps center of excellence technical practices and techniques. You will build relationships with your colleagues to ensure that decisions are commercially focused and create long-term value for the bank. This position is offered at the vice president level. Key Responsibilities: - Mentor and coach feature and platform teams to enhance DevOps capability for continuous improvements and improved customer experience - Assess current levels of DevOps technical capability within teams, identify gaps, and provide support through learning workshops and training - Demonstrate how to measure, understand, and visualize the flow and delivery of value by adopting DevOps tools, techniques, and processes - Advise teams across platforms and within the center of excellence on suitable DevOps capability uplifts based on their needs and abilities - Provide feedback to enhance policies, standards, practices, and associated DevOps tooling - Ensure decisions are data-driven, focusing on return on investment and value measures for effective cost management Qualifications Required: - Experience in portfolio management support roles with knowledge of portfolio types - Hold an appropriate portfolio management qualification such as Prince 2, Scrum, Agile, or SAFe portfolio management - Strong hands-on experience of at least 12 years in AWS services and Terraform - Expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration - Solid understanding of networking concepts like VPC, subnets, NACLs, and security groups - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices - Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation Join NatWest Digital X's digital revolution and be part of creating effortless and secure digital experiences.
