Description
Key Responsibilities: Architecture & Design Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure using cloud and on-prem solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP). Architect end-to-end CI/CD pipelines supporting automated testing, deployments, and monitoring. Define infrastructure as code (IaC) standards using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Pulumi. DevOps Strategy & Leadership Establish DevOps best practices and governance models for development, operations, and QA teams. Collaborate with development, QA, security, and IT teams to streamline delivery processes and reduce time to production. Drive the adoption of DevSecOps practices including threat modeling, vulnerability scanning, and compliance as code. Tooling & Automation Select, configure, and manage DevOps tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Spinnaker, etc. Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment. Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm. Monitoring & Reliability Define SLOs/SLAs, observability standards, and alerting mechanisms with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or ELK. Lead incident response and post-mortem analysis to continuously improve system reliability. Mentoring & Knowledge Sharing Mentor DevOps engineers and other team members on best practices. Conduct architecture reviews and provide feedback on infrastructure designs and deployment strategies. Required Qualifications: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 10+ years of experience in software engineering or IT infrastructure roles. 5+ years specifically in a DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineering capacity. Proven experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong expertise in CI/CD tools, configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet), and container orchestration (Kubernetes). Deep understanding of networking, security principles, and system architecture. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, or equivalent. Experience with GitOps, service mesh (Istio/Linkerd), and policy-as-code (OPA, Kyverno). Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
