1. Develop manufacturing processes for new products (castings, forgings, machined parts, fabricated assemblies).
2. Prepare and validate:
- Process Flow Diagrams- Control Plans- PFMEA- Work Instructions & SOPs.
3. Work closely with:
- Quality (PPAP, APQP, defect resolution)- Production (line balancing, tooling, setup optimization)- Vendors (toolmakers, raw material suppliers)
4. Conduct trial runs, pilot batches, and first article approvals
5. Improve cycle time, tooling efficiency, and process capability (Cp/Cpk).
6. Support cost reduction (VA/VE) initiatives.
7. Support customer technical discussions and audits
8. Ensure compliance with ISO / IATF / customer standards
