. Responsible for planning and designing new software and web applications. Analyzes, tests and assists with the integration of new applications. Documents all development activity. Assists with training non-technical personnel. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Job Description Core Responsibilities 3- 5 years of network automation experience Proficient in Ruby or Ruby on Rails and Linux shell scripting. Experience with message-oriented middleware a plus Strong preference for experience with asynchronous programming Experience with back-end system development Experience with regular expressions and predictive text data processing Proficiency in Ruby a big plus Knowledge of various RF and network testing equipment such as spectrum analyzers, packet generators, routers, etc. Experience in testing standards. Education Bachelors Degree While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
