Developer - Business Intelligence

As a Developer - Business Intelligence at Wesco, you will report to the Business Intelligence Manager who oversees tools and technology supporting the company's profitability initiative. Your role will involve creating Power BI reporting and design, developing PowerApps applications, designing SQL tables, building automation tooling, and potentially working on machine learning models. Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain new and existing Power BI reporting - Create and maintain PowerApps for the business - Utilize SQL databases to design new tables and views, as well as query existing data - Participate in User Acceptance Testing for new enhancements - Provide technical support to the Profitability team for existing and new toolsets - Collaborate with Business Units to enhance support for the business - Work with IT to automate and enhance processes for the new consolidated organization - Maintain process documentation and technical specifications based on evolving IT landscape and business requirements Qualifications: - Associates Degree (U.S.)/College Diploma (Canada) required; Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline preferred - Power BI or Tableau certification preferred - 2-4 years of experience in BI development or coding with SQL - 2-4 years of programming background/knowledge (SQL, Python, DAX, R, or M) - Experience with Power BI or other visualization software - Intermediate/expert knowledge of Access and Excel, including Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex logic statements, VBA knowledge, and complex queries/macros - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Decision-making skills with strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication abilities - Knowledge of star schema data modeling - Experience with Microsoft PowerApps and/or Power Automate - Familiarity with SSRS and Report Builder - Interest in AI / ML development or knowledge of Azure Cognitive At Wesco, the company is dedicated to building, connecting, powering, and protecting the world.
