Designer - Electrical BIM

You will work under general supervision and provide training and technical support to design staff on the Building Information Modeling system. This system creates 3D models using project specifications and content. Your responsibilities will include directing project support and production to assigned projects, developing and maintaining electrical systems models, and ensuring coordination between electrical and other building systems. You will also perform clash detection and resolution within the BIM environment, generate accurate quantity take-offs and schedules, and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards. Your qualifications should include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in electrical design or BIM. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks is required, along with 4+ years of experience in electrical design and BIM. A Professional Engineer (PE) license or working towards licensure is necessary, as well as expertise in electrical and ELV systems, advanced knowledge of relevant software, and familiarity with sustainable design principles and LEED certification processes. You should also have experience in clash detection and resolution within BIM environments, knowledge of construction methodologies, and the ability to mentor junior staff in electrical BIM practices.
