Designer - Electrical

Role Overview: As a designer at the company, you will be reporting directly to the Head of the Department and will be responsible for efficiently executing work packages using design tools and assisting the Discipline. Your primary responsibilities will include modeling and layout detail design work related to discipline-specific deliverables, generating layouts, installation drawings, and MTOs based on the engineering discipline workflow, as well as checking drawings and MTOs. You will also be responsible for ensuring the quality of design as per job manual & QA checklist requirements, executing within project timelines, and working with the least supervision. Additionally, you will contribute to Change Management and communicate effectively with the Lead Engineer regarding project status and progress. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure quality of design as per job manual & QA checklist requirements - Execute work packages within project time-lines with least supervision - Demonstrate expertise in modeling using various 3D tools like SP3D, take ownership, and deliver within project time schedule - Generate layouts, installation drawings, and MTOs based on engineering discipline workflow - Check drawings and MTOs - Review vendor drawings related to plant design - Communicate project status and progress to Lead Engineer - Record and communicate all changes to original scope - Contribute to Change Management - Possess domain knowledge in Layout engineering, Cable Routing, Conduit & Tray Sizing, Earthing/Grounding Layouts, Lighting Layouts & Circuiting, and more - Prepare Single Line Diagram in AutoCAD - Effectively communicate and coordinate with proactive approach to manage interdiscipline workflow - Identify cost optimization opportunities during project execution - Proficient in tools like Smart Plant 3D (SP3D) and AutoCAD Qualification Required: - Education: ITI/Diploma In Engineering Discipline Electrical - Work Experience: Experience in EPC or Detail design engineering company in the engineering discipline for execution of projects in various sectors like Oil & Gas, Air Separation, Energy, Refining, Petrochemicals - Experience range: Senior Designer with 10 - 20 years and above - Language proficiency: Intermediate level English Additional Details: The company, Air Liquide, is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace that embraces the diversity of employees, customers, patients, community stakeholders, and cultures worldwide.
