Job Description

Role Overview: As a Designer in Building Structure at AECOM's Enterprise Capabilities team, you will play a crucial role in the structural engineering team. Your responsibilities will include creating detailed design plans and drawings for various structural projects. Collaboration with engineers and other professionals to ensure designs meet aesthetic, functional, safety, and industry standards will be a key part of your role. You will be working under general supervision, providing project support, and ensuring accuracy and quality in discipline model information and coordination. Key Responsibilities: - Direct project support and production by creating drawings using standards and content to meet job requirements. - Perform complex BIM/CADD assignments and coordinate BIM drawing. - Draft progress reports on BIM compliance and project progress. - Develop and maintain software template files to ensure standards. - Create Revit families according to project specifications. - Automate procedures to enhance productivity and standards. - Demonstrate problem-solving skills by proposing alternative solutions. - Exhibit punctuality, accountability, ethical behavior, respect for hierarchy, clear reporting, and documentation. - Participate in team interactions, cooperate with team members, and be open to feedback and learning. - Demonstrate eagerness to learn, flexibility, thoroughness, consistency, follow-through, proactiveness, reliability, and effective time management. Qualifications: - Bachelor's in Engineering/Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited institution. - Minimum 3 years of experience in overseas Building projects. - Experience in design within residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality sectors. - Preferable exposure to AutoCAD drafting and experience in producing at least LOD 300 REVIT model. - Proficiency in documentation (3D and 2D), general arrangement drawings, and reinforcement drawings. - Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and work under pressure to meet deadlines. - Proficient in technical structural software such as Revit Structures, ACAD, and MicroStation. - Knowledge of ACC, ProjectWise, Microsoft Word, and Excel. - Strong command of technical terminology and proficient in English communication. - Dynamic, self-driven individual focused on client delivery and technical excellence.
