As a Land Development Drafter at our company, your role involves preparing detailed land development drawings, such as boundary surveys, site plans, and topographic maps, following US standards and practices. You will be responsible for processing and integrating point cloud data into CAD software to create precise 2D/3D models and topographic drawings. Utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D for drafting tasks like grading, drainage design, and alignment layouts is a key part of your responsibilities. You will also work with Trimble Business Center for point cloud cleanup, surface creation, and volume calculations. Collaboration with surveyors, engineers, and project managers is essential to ensure that deliverables meet client requirements and project deadlines. Additionally, managing and updating a library of drafting templates, layers, and styles to maintain consistency across projects, as well as reviewing and QC drawings to guarantee accuracy and adherence to project specifications, are important aspects of your role. Keeping abreast of the latest tools, technologies, and trends in land development drafting and point cloud processing is also expected. Qualifications required for this role include a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience: - 6 months to 2 years of drafting experience for land development projects in the US. - Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center is necessary. - Ability to process point clouds for generating accurate deliverables. Skills: - Strong understanding of land development concepts and drafting standards in the US. - Proficient in working with survey data, point clouds, and geospatial datasets. - Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality deliverables. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
