Design Specialist

As an EMEA Design Studio Assistant Manager based in Gurgaon with over 8 years of experience in the Modular Tiles, Modular Furniture, and Flooring industry, you will report to the Senior Design Manager in Bangkok. Your primary responsibility will be managing the workload and the locally based India design team. You will also oversee the design activities and support from the Middle East team and the India regional office. Your role will involve developing and building design support from India for the local market, Middle East, and other SEA regions. Additionally, you will work directly with customers and regional sales managers in all regions, guiding and advising clients on project direction and conclusion through face-to-face and video call meetings. Building relationships with key clients in India and the ME regions will be crucial, along with effective communication back to the Bangkok Design Studio and P&E teams. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and train local Design team skills to proficiently project manage design requirements. - Ensure production of technically and creatively custom design solutions using carpet design software programs. Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 8 years of design experience. - Preferred experience in people management. - Bachelor's degree required; degree in textile design or related field preferred. - Knowledge of Axminster and hand-tufted carpet construction is essential. - Creative, technically mindful, with an understanding of repeat pattern, scale, and color. - Ability to manage multiple deadline-based projects and tasks within tight schedules. - Proficiency in design software programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, Ned Graphics, APSO, AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc. - Effective communication and organizational skills. - Team player with multitasking abilities. - Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google products.
