As a Mechanical Design Engineer, your role involves being proficient in using Solidworks 3D Modelling & AutoCAD in the Sheet metal domain and designing mechanical items like Parts (Solid Parts, Weldments), Sub-Assemblies, Assembly, Drafting, BOMs. You are expected to execute designs to engineering standards as per IS standards with knowledge of GD&T and Fits. Additionally, you should be able to operate MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and ERP effectively. Your responsibilities will also include having knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components such as Gearmotor, sensors, switches, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc. It is essential to have a thorough understanding of basic and advanced machine designing mechanisms, components, machines, supporting structures, advanced brought out parts, and design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA) with basic engineering calculations. Furthermore, you will be involved in various phases of new product development, including design prototype, R&D work, reverse engineering, design improvement, design explanation, documentation management, and service support. The ideal candidate should possess a mindset of an innovator and craftsman, being creative and passionate about creating solutions. You should be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
