Design Lead (Commercial offices)

As an experienced Architectural Design and Leadership professional with over 8 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in leading a team of interior designers and overseeing projects from start to finish. Your strong portfolio in commercial or co-working space projects will be key to your success in this role. **Roles and Responsibilities:** - Lead a team of interior designers to execute projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables. - Develop and drive architectural designs and concepts for both new and existing projects, maintaining a focus on innovation and creativity. - Guide and mentor the design team to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as project managers, engineers, operations team, management, external vendors, and stakeholders. - Conduct discussions on Bills of Quantities (BoQ) with the Landlord and manage all related documentation effectively. - Establish and uphold Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to design and project work to ensure consistency and efficiency. - Take full responsibility for creating detailed plans and drawings using AutoCAD and SketchUp software. - Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, sustainability practices, and National Building Code (NBC) norms. - Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with budget constraints. - Conduct thorough quality checks and due diligence to maintain design integrity and regulatory compliance. - Negotiate on the Bills of Quantities (BoQ) to ensure projects are completed within budget and finalize agreements within specified timelines.
