As a member of our team at Agilitas, you will play a crucial role in managing our intellectual property (IP) portfolio to ensure it is protected and future-ready. You will oversee the filings, prosecution, and maintenance of trademarks, patents, and industrial designs globally. Your responsibilities will also include developing and implementing IP strategies that support our growth by focusing on brand protection, innovation capture, and risk management. In addition to managing our IP portfolio, you will serve as an advisory partner to various teams within the company, including product, marketing, licensing, and sponsorships. Your expertise in IP law will enable you to provide legal advice that empowers confident decision-making. You will also lead enforcement actions, oppositions, and disputes, collaborating with external counsel to defend our rights effectively. Furthermore, you will support partnerships, acquisitions, and licensing deals by conducting thorough IP due diligence. By building internal awareness through training sessions, you will empower teams to integrate best IP practices into their work. You will also be responsible for driving data protection strategies and ensuring regulatory compliance. In addition to your legal expertise, you will bring a Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) and at least 5 years of experience in IP law, with a preference for experience in sports, apparel, consumer goods, or technology industries. You should have proven expertise in trademarks, patents, and design filings, including international filings such as the Madrid Protocol and PCT. A solid understanding of IP enforcement, litigation, and licensing is essential, along with strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
