Design & Estimation Engineer

Al Shahba Engineering Safety and Security Company (SESSCO) is a leading fire protection and safety services firm over the past 25 years with operations across all 7 emirates in the UAE. We provide complete design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of Fire Alarm, Emergency Lights, Clean Agent System, Kitchen Hood Fire Suppression System, Fire Pump System, Fire Sprinkler system and more to a diverse range of clients across commercial, residential and industrial sectors. We are the distributor for the following products Buckeye, Detnov and Protek, all of which helps us support our clients through tailored solutions for their needs.

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a design and estimation engineer for our Kochi (Kerala) office. The responsibilities associated with the role include:

- Design and prepare cost estimates for all the fire & safety systems such as : Fire alarm system, Clean Agent System, Fire Pump, Sprinkler systems etc. for fit-out jobs, projects such as warehouses, residential buildings and more according to NFPA Fire codes and regulations

- Prepare accurate cost estimates accounting for material, labor and all other costs.

- Collaborate with project management team to identify potential challenges and propose solutions

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelors in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

- Minimum 3 years of experience creating design and estimates for fire protection and firefighting systems

- Prior UAE working experience in similar field preferred

- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD

- Strong understanding of fire protection codes, standards and regulations (NFPA, UAE Civil Defense etc.)

- Excellent communication skills
