Design Engineer Specialist

As a Solution Designer & Architect for Next Generation Network OSS Service Design and Activation, your responsibilities include: - Being accountable for Solution Design & Architecture and executing/ implementing the Next Generation Network OSS Service Design and Activation solution architecture. - Designing & architecting software and solutions for Service Orchestration and Activation of various products on the Global Network. - Producing an agile planning and design process to help BT deliver the quickest way to expand the network capacity using next-gen technology/ standards for NetOps driven OSS. Skills required for this role: - Good understanding of Network OSS Service Design and Activation and fulfillment domain, specifically Hybrid multi-technology Service & Resource Orchestration, Service Design & Assign. - Understanding of the complete E2E Journey for an L2C Stack and IP/MPLS, Access, network, and configuration including SDN and NFV concepts. - Knowledge of inventory systems and functions, process, technical capability, and their transformation for SDN and NFV-based network management. - Understanding of NFV, ETSI MANO/OSM, OASIS TOSCA/YAML, TM Forum SID & eTOM, IETF YANG, NetConf/RESTconf, and related technologies/standards. - Knowledge of network devices from Nokia, Ericsson, Adva, Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, etc. - Understanding of how OSS and BSS should interwork to support digital transformation and transformation in the Customer user experience. - Understanding of Micro Services architectural concepts. Experience expected: - Overall 8+ years of professional experience required for success in this role. - At least 3-4 years of working experience as a solution designer, designing and writing functional specification, system & interface specification, HLD, and Detailed design. - Prior technical hands-on experience is a must to write detailed technical implementation specifications. - BT OSS/Network experience will be an advantage. - BT Service Orchestration and Activation design and development will be advantageous.,
