Design Engineer Specialist

As a Solution Designer & Architect for Next Generation Network OSS Service Design and Activation, your responsibilities include: - Being accountable for Solution Design & Architecture and executing/implementing the solution architecture for Next Generation Network OSS Service Design and Activation. - Designing and architecting software and solutions for Service Orchestration and Activation of various products on the Global Network. - Producing an agile planning and design process to help BT deliver the quickest way to expand network capacity using next-gen technology/standards for NetOps driven OSS. The skills required for this role are: - Good understanding of Network OSS Service Design and Activation and fulfillment domain, specifically Hybrid multi-technology Service & Resource Orchestration, Service Design & Assign. - Good understanding of the complete end-to-end journey for an L2C Stack and IP/MPLS, Access, network, and configuration with an appreciation of SDN and NFV concepts. - Knowledge of inventory systems, functions, process, technical capability, and their transformation for SDN and NFV based network management. - Familiarity with NFV, ETSI MANO/OSM, OASIS TOSCA/YAML, TM Forum SID & eTOM, IETF YANG, NetConf / RESTconf, and related technologies/standards. - Understanding of network devices from Nokia, Ericsson, Adva, Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, etc. - Knowledge of how OSS and BSS should interwork to support digital transformation and enhance the Customer user experience. - Understanding of Micro Services architectural concepts. In terms of experience, you are expected to have: - A minimum of 8+ years of professional experience, with at least 3-4 years as a solution designer writing functional specifications, system & interface specifications, HLD, and Detailed design. - Prior technical hands-on experience is a must for writing detailed technical implementation specifications. - BT OSS/Network experience and BT Service Orchestration and Activation design and development experience would be advantageous.,
