Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Professional to support New Product Development (NPD), process design, and continuous improvement activities. The role involves developing new components, improving manufacturing processes, and ensuring high productivity, cost efficiency, and quality across operations.

Key Roles

Efficient development and testing of new components.
Provide engineering support to plants to enhance existing processes and improve cost, quality, and productivity.
Design new manufacturing processes for improved output and cost optimization.
Develop efficient and quality-focused production lines/cells for existing and new products.

Key Responsibilities

Study and verify customer-provided drawings for new component development.
Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) for all new and existing assemblies.
Design gauges, welding fixtures, jigs, and related tooling.
Estimate process cost and conduct costing for new components/products.
Carry out re-engineering and redesign activities to improve existing processes and methods.
Drive new component development as per project plans and timelines.
Coordinate with vendors for new development and second sourcing.
Maintain and update component drawings, documents, and engineering records.
Participate in supplier evaluation and selection processes.
Release required drawings and technical documents to internal departments.
Create child part drawings and process drawings for assemblies.

Educational Qualification

B.Tech / B.E / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.

Experience Required

Preferably
2 - 5 years of experience
in the
Automotive / Auto Component Manufacturing
sector.
