Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Create and modify
2D drawings and 3D models
using
AutoCAD
and
SolidWorks
.
Design and develop
sheet metal components
, enclosures, and assemblies as per project requirements.
Interpret customer drawings/specifications and convert them into production-ready formats.
Work closely with cross-functional teams (Production, QC, Procurement) to ensure DFM/DFA best practices.
Participate in prototype development, fitment trials, and validation processes.
Prepare detailed
BOMs, GD&T drawings
, and engineering documentation.
Maintain design revisions and change control as per ISO/quality procedures.

Required Skills:

Proficiency in
AutoCAD (2D)
and
SolidWorks (3D Modelling, Sheet Metal Module)
Strong understanding of
sheet metal fabrication
, tolerances, and material selection
Good knowledge of
manufacturing processes
like laser cutting, bending, welding, and assembly
Experience in working with engineering standards (preferably
IS, DIN, or MIL
)
Ability to read and interpret
technical drawings
, schematics, and specs
Exposure to
GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

Nice to Have:

Experience working with
Railway/Defence tenders or projects
