Design Engineer (Instrumentation & Control Systems)

Location - Coimbatore, India

1.     Roles & Responsibilities (in brief):

a)      Responsible for field study, designing project as per the customer / Tender specification, Validating Panel costing and containing the project cost within the budget by using innovative ideas / alternate products / series and completing within the budgeted time frame and cost.

b)     Preparing Electrical BOM, GA, wiring diagram and sending it to Project Engineer / customer approval. Ensuring approval from internal and external customer before starting the manufacturing.

c)      Preparing manufacturing drawings including Engraving, accessories, Ferrules list and all other document as per standard.

d)     Responsible to evaluate the Input/output list, generating bill of materials, estimates, specification of materials to be bought for the project and make sure it is delivered in time.

e)     Responsible to design and provide a solution that meets the desired quality and resource utilization standards at an optimum cost.

f)       Responsible for avoiding design flaws, design reworks and any sub-standard design/drawing.

g)      Responsible for attending review meet with customers on behalf of the design team and participating the Customer/end user inspection to make sure the system designed by respective engineer pass the inspection without any remarks

• h)     Maintaining master file of drawings, catalogs and manuals used for the Project in soft or hard form.
