Design Engineer

As a Design Engineer (Mechanical) at our company located in Sankrail Industrial Park, Howrah, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative designs, mechanical components, and efficient manufacturing processes. Your proficiency in SolidWorks and hands-on experience in mechanical design will be essential for creating detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and design documentation. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure that designs meet industry standards and regulations while optimizing for manufacturability, cost, and quality control. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and design mechanical systems, components, and assemblies using SolidWorks. - Create detailed 3D models, 2D technical drawings, and design documentation. - Conduct design analysis, simulations, and modifications to enhance product performance and reliability. - Collaborate with production, quality, and project management teams to meet design specifications and timelines. - Assist in prototype development, testing, and validation of designs. - Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and quality control. - Provide technical support and troubleshooting during production stages. - Document all design-related activities and maintain accurate records. **Skills and Qualifications:** - **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - **Experience:** Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design, with proficiency in SolidWorks. - **Technical Skills:** - Expertise in using SolidWorks for 3D modeling, rendering, and creating detailed drawings. - Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. - Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). - **Additional Skills:** - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team. - Ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines and high attention to detail. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Proficiency in SolidWorks as the primary CAD software for design work. - Knowledge of manufacturing techniques like machining, molding, and assembly processes. - Understanding of material science and the selection of materials for specific mechanical applications.
