Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Design and develop
sheet metal components
and
Punch Tool setups
using
PTC Creo
.
Create and revise
3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs
in accordance with engineering standards.
Develop
tool layouts
, die designs, and punching patterns based on manufacturing requirements.
Collaborate with production, quality, and tooling teams to validate designs and optimize manufacturability.
Analyze and modify existing designs to improve
strength, durability, and performance
.
Perform
tolerance analysis
, material selection, and engineering calculations.
Support prototyping, testing, and design validation activities.
Ensure all designs conform to
industry standards
, customer specifications, and safety guidelines.
Document processes, maintain design records, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

B.E./B.Tech
in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.
23 years of experience
in
sheet metal design
in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong proficiency in
Creo (Creo Parametric)
—especially in
Punch Tool design
and sheet metal modules.
Knowledge of
DFM/DFA
, GD&T, materials, and manufacturing processes for sheet metal.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
Good understanding of tolerance stack-ups and mechanical calculations.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
