Design Engineer - Cooling Towers

As a Design Engineer at advancecoolingtower, you will play a crucial role in creating, reviewing, and optimizing cooling tower designs to ensure compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and company specifications. Your responsibilities will include: - Prepare and review design drawings, GA (General Arrangement), and detailed fabrication drawings for cooling towers. - Conduct thermal design calculations, structural design checks, and component sizing. - Collaborate with sales, estimation, and project execution teams to provide technical support during pre-bid, proposal, and project execution stages. - Coordinate with production and service teams for manufacturability and maintainability of designs. - Ensure designs comply with CTI, IS, ASME, and other relevant standards. - Develop and maintain a library of standard designs and BOMs for modular use. - Support R&D initiatives for developing new models, cost-effective designs, and energy-efficient solutions. - Prepare technical documentation, design reports, and manuals for client submission. Qualifications & Skills required for this role: - B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory). - Minimum 2 years of experience in cooling tower design (crossflow, counterflow, induced draft, etc.). - Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar 2D/3D design software. - Strong knowledge of thermal, mechanical, and structural design principles. - Familiarity with fans, gearboxes, motors, fills, drift eliminators, and other cooling tower components. - Good understanding of piping layouts and civil interface requirements. - Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Preferred qualifications include experience in FRP, RCC cooling towers and exposure to project execution and client handling.
