Description
As a Civil Design Engineer specializing in Substation and Transmission Line projects, your key responsibilities will include: - Designing and analyzing civil and structural components such as control room buildings, equipment foundations, cable trenches, firewalls for substations, and tower foundations, access roads, gantries for transmission line structures. - Conducting structural analysis using tools like STAAD, ETABS, or equivalent software in compliance with IS, IEC, or relevant codes. - Preparing and reviewing detailed civil drawings, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), technical specifications, and design reports. - Developing and maintaining accurate design records, Design Basis Reports (DBRs), and Design Criteria Inputs (DCIs). - Coordinating with cross-functional teams including project management, site execution, clients, consultants, and vendors for approvals and technical clarifications. - Supporting site teams during execution by providing drawing clarifications and technical guidance. - Assisting in tender engineering and estimation by offering preliminary designs, quantity take-offs, and design inputs for proposals. - Ensuring compliance with applicable national/international standards (IS, IEC, IEEE), project specifications, and environmental or geotechnical considerations. Qualifications and Skills required for this role: - Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or M.Tech in Structural Engineering. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in design for substation and/or transmission line projects. Software Proficiency expected: - STAAD and ETABS for Analysis & Design. - AutoCAD and REVIT for Drafting (Preferred). - TEKLA for Structural Detailing (Preferred). - Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
